Experimental Research on a Needle Roller-Type Electrostatic Separation Device for Separating Unginned Cotton and Residual Films

In the mechanized harvesting of cotton in Northwest China, problems result from presence a residual film, and it is difficult to remove film processing stage. this study, needle roller electrostatic separation device was designed for use with unginned films, series experiments carried out. Through force analyses charge testing seed theoretical basis provided separating them. Taking rate as response index, optimal parameter combination determined surface analysis three factors levels, mathematical model established. The test results showed that set included 25.3° corona electrode angle, 172.3 mm distance, 5.25 W discharge power. After optimization parameters separation, average 91.7%. This research provides data technical support design machinery selection used treating machine-picked film.
